RADISH keeps pushing at SIM 2026 in Kraków!

SIM (Szkoła Inżynierii Materiałowej) is a conference designed to provide a platform for young researchers to present their findings, exchange experiences, and build their scientific portfolios. The 2026 edition was held in Kraków at AGH on May 6-7, and our team was there – two RADISH members actively participated in the event. A fun fact about AGH: the university has four separate faculties related to materials engineering, so participants can draw on knowledge from experts across a broad range of materials specialisations.

Kacper Kij gave a talk titled: “Pushing SIMS toward quantification: Matrix effect in multicomponent alloys” taking a step toward quantifying the results of qualitative methods.

Next, Hanna Szebesczyk presented her talk titled: “Pushing the limits of aluminium alloys: Combinatorial synthesis and exploration of Al–Mg–Zr system” – because strong and lightweight materials can always be made stronger or lighter.

Both presentations received high recognition and powerful feedback. The event was inspiring and full of great questions, fresh ideas, and future collaborators. We are grateful to the organizers at AGH for bringing together the materials science community and providing young researchers with such an insightful venue.
