On December 12, 2025, all three of our team members took part in the MecaNano Pitching Event & Round Table on Machine Learning Applications – an online event providing a forum for the exchange of ideas, consultation, and enhanced preparation for the subsequent implementation of machine learning. It was our first public appearance as the RADISH group.
The format encouraged researchers at all levels to present their ideas: most participants gave short 3–5 minute pitches, often based on a single slide. As two early-stage PhD students, Maria and Hania followed this format, presenting concise ideas from ongoing work. The project supervisor, Dr. Krzysztof Wieczerzak, opted for a longer presentation to dive deeper into the project’s scope and receive more detailed feedback from experts.
Presenting in front of specialists, hearing their questions, and getting constructive feedback on the spot – all in a friendly, encouraging atmosphere. Our team left with new ideas, new connections, and a confidence boost. A great reminder that in science, you don’t have to know everything; you just have to be willing to ask.
